Operation Eagle Recognition

OPERATION EAGLE RECOGNITION

Attention Cleveland Hill Military Veteran Alumni and Retirees

The Cleveland Hill Board of Education is proud to announce a new initiative, the Cleveland Hill Patriot Wall.  This project will recognize Cleveland Hill alumni and retirees with a minimum of 10 years of district employment who served and received an honorable discharge from any of the United States Armed Services (Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coast Guard, State Army National Guard, State Air National Guard and all federal military reserves).  The wall will be unveiled at 6:00 pm on October 3, 2018 during a short ceremony at the beginning of our regularly scheduled Board of Education Meeting.

The Cleveland Hill Patriot Wall is located in our Main Street hallway near the high school.  Each honoree will have their name and branch of service engraved on a 4” silhouette of an eagle’s head and placed on the wall.  Our Patriot Wall will also include a special section with plaques commemorating the two Cleveland Hill alumni who sacrificed their lives Richard DeWane ’67 and Nicholas Warden ’06.  The Cleveland Hill Board of Education dedicated these plaques in their honor last spring.

We need your help in identifying those individuals to be honored.  If you, or someone you know, is a Cleveland Hill alum or retiree who meets the criteria, please fill out the printable form below and submit to the address listed. Please note that all honorees must provide proof of military service such as a copy of their discharge certificate or DD 214 with the social security number blacked out.

There is no cost!  You served our Nation and community, let us acknowledge your legacy for generations to come.

Please contact us at chpatriotwall@clevehill.org with any questions.

The application form is located on the Patriot Wall page on our website. Click here to be taken to the Patriot Wall web page.
